Use the fine disc for foods such as cucumber or mushrooms.


The medium slicing disc is ideal for potatoes, onions and fruit.


The thickest disc is used for foods such as peppers and courgettes.

Blades with a ripple cutter give you a ridged touch to vegetables.


Chipper blades produce chips from whole potatoes

Use the fine grater for grating chocolate or cheese, or making breadcrumbs. Some machines include an extra fine grater for things like Parmesan cheese.


Use the medium disc for cheese, or vegetables such as carrots.


A coarse grater is ideal for cabbage when making coleslaw.
